End of Year Scholastic

Way cool shirts were given to all 88 of the players, a great pizza and cake party ended the affair, and some excellent chess was played in between.

High School:

Hien Huynh won the section, defeating Johnny Sadoff in the final, dramatic game to win with 3½ points.

Junior High:

Jack McKay, a fifth-grader, won the section with 3½ points, drawing only his school classmate, Jason Liu.

Elementary:

Edward Hsieh defeated Brynn Toops in the blitz play-off to determine which of the 4-0 co-champions would take home the championship trophy.

Primary:

Scott Eisenstadt, playing in his first tournament, swept the Kindergarten - Third Grade section.
